The Disney Destiny, set to embark on its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025, from Port Everglades in Florida, is the third Wish-class ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, joining its sisters Disney Wish (2022) and Disney Treasure (2024). This 144,000-gross-ton vessel, powered by eco-friendly liquefied natural gas (LNG), can accommodate approximately 4,000 passengers across 1,258 cabins. The ship’s theme, “Heroes vs. Villains,” celebrates the dynamic duality of Disney’s most iconic stories, blending heroic triumphs with villainous flair. From Marvel superheroes to classic Disney antagonists, the Disney Destiny promises an immersive, family-friendly adventure with innovative entertainment, dining, and youth activities. Here’s a detailed look at what makes this ship a must-sail experience. The heart of the Disney Destiny is the Grand Hall, a breathtaking atrium inspired by the nation of Wakanda from Marvel’s Black Panther. A striking bronze statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther, anchors the space, surrounded by a color palette of rich purples and silvers that evoke vibranium, the rare metal central to Wakanda’s lore. Lightings and colour change with entrance of characters and mood. Dining on the Disney Destiny is a theatrical experience, with venues that weave storytelling into every meal. Pride Lands: A Lion King-Inspired Dining Room: A brand new addition to the fleet, this restaurant transports guests to the savanna with decor inspired by The Lion King. Expect vibrant visuals, music from the film, and a menu that celebrates African-inspired cuisine. Returning Favorites -
The Destiny will also feature rotational dining staples like 1923, a nod to the Walt Disney Company’s founding year, and Worlds of Marvel Restaurant, an immersive dining experience features a dinner show, where guests can expect high-energy performances and Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. The menu blends bold flavors with interactive storytelling, making it a highlight for Marvel fans. For a sweet treat, the Edna Mode Sweets Shop inspired by The Incredibles, is a must-visit for families and dessert enthusiasts seeking a super-powered sugar rush. The Disney Destiny’s lounges are a standout, each with a distinct theme that immerses guests in Disney’s storytelling: De Vil’s Piano Lounge: This glamorous venue pays homage to Cruella deVil from 101 Dalmatians. A marquee with piano-key letters welcomes guests, and a floor mosaic featuring Cruella’s catchphrase, “How Marvelous,” surrounded by 15 paw prints, sets the scene. The lounge’s chic decor reflects Cruella’s bold fashion sense, with live piano music and sophisticated cocktails creating an elegant yet wickedly fun atmosphere. The Sanctum Lounge: Inspired by Marvel’s Doctor Strange, this mystical lounge channels the New York Sanctum Sanctorum. Guests will find enchanted Easter eggs like suspended spell books and relics from the film. The Haunted Mansion Parlor: first debuted on the Disney Treasure cruise ship, a highly immersive bar inspired by the iconic Haunted Mansion attraction, earning praise as Disney’s best-themed bar. The Disney Destiny’s, like all other Disney fleets, offers three world class Broadway shows: Disney Hercules
This brand new show, debuting exclusively on Disney Destiny, reimagines the 1997 animated film Hercules. Featuring electrifying musical numbers, larger-than-life puppets with cutting-edge exoskeleton technology, and a new song, “Shooting Star,” this production promises a fresh take on the classic tale. Rehearsals are underway at Disney Cruise Line’s Toronto-based facility, ensuring a spectacular performance in the Walt Disney Theatre. Other two are very popular Frozen, A Musical Spectacular and Disney Seas the Adventure. The Disney Destiny’s staterooms mirror the Wish-class design, with split bathrooms and connecting doors for family convenience. Standard staterooms feature headboards inspired by Hercules, Mulan, or Brave, celebrating heroic characters. Concierge staterooms and suites, adorned with Fantasia-themed watercolor artwork, offer premium amenities and access to an exclusive lounge and private sun deck. Four royal suites, inspired by Hercules and The Incredibles, provide luxurious accommodations with heroic views. The standout 2-storey Destiny Tower Suite, themed to Iron Man, offers a high-tech, opulent retreat for discerning guests.
Upper Decks: Water and Wonder
The Disney Destiny’s upper decks are a family-friendly paradise. A Mickey and Friends-themed district features seven staggered pools, ample lounge chairs with big screen playing movies, and a fast-casual dining spot with a festive twist. The AquaMouse, Disney’s signature water-coaster, returns with new scenes tied to the heroes-and-villains theme. For younger cruisers, a Toy Story-themed splash zone includes a wading pool, family waterslide, and smoothie bar, creating a playful water wonderland. |
