Hold onto your Mickey ears, because you’re about to dive into the MOST MAGICAL Disney Cruise adventure of your life! This isn’t just a vacation—it’s a heart-pounding, memory-making extravaganza with your favorite Disney characters, family, and friends! From dazzling deck parties to secret treasure hunts on a private island, this guide is your golden ticket to an UNFORGETTABLE journey! Get ready to transform your stateroom door, conquer epic activities, and uncover mind-blowing surprises! Before you embark on your dream cruise, download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app—your essential guide to an unforgettable adventure! Set up a fun countdown calendar for your trip and pre-book exciting onboard activities. Once aboard, the app is your go-to resource for everything: check restaurant and bar hours, explore onboard activities, find character meet-and-greet locations, and keep track of your expenses. Plus, stay connected with loved ones on the ship using the handy chat feature!
Picture this: steel stateroom doors begging for your creative touch! Bring a pile of dazzling magnets and make your door the ENVY of the ship! Want to go big? String up twinkling lights around the frame for pure wow factor! And here’s the trick: hang an empty bag on your fish extender, you might wake up to gifts from a secret cruiser!
Internet is to most, a priority, and we’ve got the scoop! Switch your phone to airplane mode to ensure connection stability, link to the “DCL-Guest” Wi-Fi, and BOOM—you’re texting for FREE on WhatsApp or iMessage (iPhone only) and rocking the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app! Craving more? There are options!
Internet Package ($26/day): Surf the web, scroll social media, Zoom, and make Wi-Fi calls like a pro!
Internet + Streaming Package ($42/day): Binge YouTube, Disney+, Netflix, and jam to music streaming—all while sailing the high seas! Get ready for heart pounding activities that sell out FAST! Missed pre-booking? Head to Guest Services the second you board to check on availability spots for popular items like the Royal Gathering or Olaf’s Royal Picnic (both on the Disney Wish). Day one is your moment, don’t let these once-in-a-lifetime experiences slip away! While at Guest Services, consider putting a credit card to your stateroom account. Most onboard locations don’t accept cash or credit cards directly—you’ll use your key card to charge purchases to your room, making things convenient. If you don’t link a card and hit your spending limit, you won’t be able to charge more to your room. Also note that Guest Services is the only place onboard that accepts cash payments. Yes, there’s a pirate-themed party! You’ll be amazed to see most guests dressed as pirates, complete with hats, eye patches, and toy swords! Get your pirate costume ready to join the fun. The evening features a spectacular fireworks show at sea (subject to destinations), and the best viewing spot, in my opinion, is the starboard side on Deck 12—perfect for an unforgettable experience! Disney Cruise’s Rotational Dining is super thoughtful! You’re assigned a restaurant rotation with a dedicated dining team that learns your preferences inside out, so you don’t have to repeat yourself. Though, this does not apply to specialty restaurants such Palo Steakhouse or Enchanté (both on the Disney Wish), which offer exquisite dishes for an extra fee. For a 3-day cruise, I suggest sticking to the main dining rooms to fully experience their offerings. Room service is complimentary and available 24/7! But did you know, there’s a hidden menu item: call and order a “Mickey Bar,” a Mickey-shaped ice cream that’ll plunge you into a sweet whirlwind of delight! Castaway Cay, and the newly advertised Lookout Cay are located in the Caribbean, boasts stunningly clear, multi-hued blue waters. The islands brim with sunshine and fun— get up close with stingrays or hunt for Disney treasures underwater. With endless activities, you’ll be immersed in joy! Telling others you’ve visited Disney’s private island will spark envy! You can only reach the Islands by Disney Cruise Line* on ships like the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Magic, Disney Treasure, or Disney Wish. *Subject to season and itinerary. Around a corner on the ship, you might spot a yellow rubber duck hiding behind a pillar! This “Cruise Duck” activity, though not in any official guide, has become a beloved tradition among cruisers. Guests bring ducks to hide around the ship, sometimes with attached notes to share love. If you find a duck, keep it or re-hide it for the next guest to discover! Book a second Disney Cruise, and you automatically become a silver Castaway Club member, enjoying perks like early bookings and welcome gifts! If you have sailed with Disney before but still listed as a first-timer after booking , check with Guest Services right away! Think the Bibidi Bobidi Boutique is just for kids? You'll be surprised to find that adults can get “pixie dusted” with magical glitter! Just simply ask at the reception. On Pirate Night, you can also do a test to find out your unique “pirate name” there! There are currently no ATMs on Disney ships. The only way To withdraw USD would be to use a specific type of traveler’s check at Guest Services. If you plan to go ashore, bring enough cash, as small shops or taxis may not accept cards. Like most cruise lines, the Disney also charges gratuity— about $16 per person per night for your service team (Head Server, Server, Assistant Server, and Stateroom Host). Housekeeping will leave a gratuity slip with four envelopes in your stateroom. If you’re happy with the amount, tear the slip into pieces and place them in the envelopes as indicated. To adjust the amount, take the slip to Guest Services for assistance — simple and transparent! |
