Hong Kong, 31 August 2021 - Goldjoy Travel Limited (“Goldjoy”), Hong Kong’s first Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) accredited travel agency, is pleased to announce themselves as Asia’s first online travel partner to launch “Direct Connect” with two of Genting Hong Kong (SEHK:678) cruise lines Dream Cruises and Crystal Cruises. “Direct Connect” enables the travel company via its website goldjoy.com to provide its customers with end to end online booking services at a click of a finger. It has been designed using API technologies that enables 24 x 7 real time cruise cabin pricing, availability and online reservation capability with instant confirmation. This is a first in Asia to launch such a solution with the cruise lines. Globally, over 70% of cruise bookings are still being made through traditional travel agents and Goldjoy believes it is well positioned to capture the shift in the growing consumer preference for an online booking alternative. Today’s announcement reflects Goldjoy's ambition to cement themselves as Asia’s leading Online Travel Agency (OTA) focused on cruise tourism. The proprietary cruise booking platform already connects with some of the world’s largest cruise lines offering more than 10,000 unique sailings and is estimated to exceed 50,000 later this year as cruise lines begin to resume operations around the world.
